A short, honest explanation of what last24hr does, how our proprietary signal stack ranks stories, and the editorial principles behind the output.

What last24hr is

A daily leaderboard of the biggest AI, Bitcoin, and Crypto stories, ranked by a heat score that blends signals across news, Reddit, X, and prediction markets. Subscribers get full deep dives on the top stories, a weekly briefing on what the crowd missed (the Quiet Room), and a live view of what prediction markets are pricing (Polymarket Pulse).

News alone is noisy. When news, Reddit, X, and prediction markets all start moving on the same story, that's signal. We surface the signal.

The Heat Score (0–100)

Our proprietary score blends cross-source coverage, cross-platform engagement, mainstream reach, and prediction-market pricing into a single daily ranking. The score rises with breadth, depth, and capital attention; it decays with age and silence.

Deep dives — top 3 stories per day

The three highest-heat stories with structural significance get a full deep dive. Each follows the same structure: key number, timeline, where sources disagree, signal vs noise, bottom line. Where a relevant Polymarket market exists, we add a Polymarket Pulse block showing what capital is pricing.

Polymarket Pulse — the four tags

Prediction-market prices are money-weighted opinions. Every market on the Polymarket page carries one of four tags so you know what kind of signal you're looking at:

Linked Story. Tied to a deep dive we've published.
Divergence. News and market disagree. Tagged sparingly.
Crowd-only Signal. Money is moving; news isn't there yet.
Absence. No market yet for a story that should have one.

The Quiet Room — weekly

A weekly briefing on stories that matter but haven't gone mainstream yet. Picks surface from our proprietary signal stack. Every pick is tracked across following weeks — when a quiet signal starts moving, subscribers see the update first.

What we never do

Fabricate numbers, sources, or quotes. If a metric isn't in our source data, we leave it out.
Take sponsored placements. No one pays to rank higher or get a deep dive.
Make investment recommendations. We explain what's happening; we don't tell you what to buy or sell.
Cover pure price moves. A 3% BTC move isn't a deep dive. The catalyst behind it might be.
